Sailings cancelled

Gales of up to 65 mph expected

High winds are causing travel problems today (Wed 28th) - and possibly into tomorrow

The Steam Packet's 8.45am Ben-my-Chree service to Heysham and the return crossing to Douglas at 2.15pm were cancelled.

A decision regarding this evening's 7.45pm crossing and tomorrow morning's return will be made by the master of the vessel at 5.30pm.

In the air, today's flights to Dublin have been cancelled, as has the 12.45pm Manchester flight.

Winds reaching severe gale force nine with gusts of 65 miles per hour are expected during the day.

There's an amber weather warning in place for significant coastal overtopping around high tide at 3pm.
