Two days after landing a role in a major film, Manx singing star Samantha Barks admits the news is still sinking in.
The 21-year-old from Laxey had just finished performing as Nancy in Oliver! at Manchester's Palace Theatre on Tuesday night, when impresario Cameron Mackintosh joined her on stage to make the announcement.
She will play the role of Eponine in Les Miserables the movie, starring alongside the likes of Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe.
