Sartfell still shut due to unexploded bomb

Amdry disposal team to come within seven days

A part of Kirk Michael remains sealed off after Second World War ammunition was discovered there on Tuesday

Several mortar rounds were found on a lane in the Sartfell area.

British military personnel have been informed - they've given the ordnance a 'low priority' designation, and will travel to the Island to carry out a controlled destruction within seven days.

The risk posed to the public is very low, but cordons will remain in place until the rounds have been removed.
