Saturdays super practice red flagged twice after incidents

Delays due to accidents in practice.

The Super Saturday practice session on the TT course has been halted twice because of incidents.

The first time was at midday  by a crash at Greeba, a few miles into the circuit.

Lee Johnston  was airmedded to hospital but was reported to be concious. Latest news is that he has relatively minor injuries, which require treatment to his face.

Before then a number of riders had recorded 130 mile per hour laps, headed by Michael Dunlop at 131.06mph.

Peter Hickman 130.63. Ian Hutchinson 130.35, Dan Kneen 130.32  and Michael Rutter 130.04.

The sidecars started their practice session at 12.40, forty minutes later than scehduled. There was no Dave Molyneux on the start grid.

Practice restarted after the break but at 2.30 was stopped again after an incident above Glen Helen. Bjorn Gunnarsson escaped injury in that incident while Paul Jordan has an injured wrist.

Practice was due to start again at 3.15 but it was  delayed further, eventually starting at 3.25.
