Schools to open on 12 April if Covid data allows

Phased approach if full opening not possible

Schools across the Island will open on 12 April if the latest Covid data allows.

The education minister says if Public Health deems the risk of community infection to be to great at that point, then a phased approach will be taken.

This would see vulnerable children, and those of key workers, allowed back into primary schools from 13 April.

On the same date secondary pupils, from years 11 and 13, will be able to return to undertake assessments that must be completed at school.
