Sea birds saved from oil spill

The MSPCA has rescued almost 50 sea birds following an oil spill off the west coast of the Isle of Man.

Forty-eight guillemots were found coated in oil in Peel and Port Erin over the bank-holiday weekend.

Seven of those didn't survive, and eleven others were found dead on the shore.

Coastguards says it's unclear where the oil came from, but it could have been in the sea for some time.

MSPCA deputy manager Jenny Corran says the next challenge is to prepare the survivors for release back into the wild:
