Search for Joanna Brown moves to Windsor

A royal park is being searched by police for the body of a woman who grew up in the Isle of Man.

Detectives believe Joanna Brown, who spent much of her childhood in Laxey, has been murdered, and they are focusing their hunt on an area of Windsor Great Park in Berkshire.

Officers think the death is connected to her divorce, which involves a pre-nuptial agreement.

A man in his 40s, understood to be her husband, Robert Brown, has been arrested and remains in police custody this evening (Thursday).

Thames Valley Police have been concentrating their efforts on Windsor Great Park since receiving information this afternoon, and officers have until tomorrow morning to question the suspect.

Mrs Brown's home is in Ascot and she is the daughter of the late Chris Simpson.

Mr Simpson is well known for his work with property developers Mill Baldwin on the Island in the 1980s.
