Closure to continue over next weekend
A section of the main A1 Douglas to Peel road is closed this weekend - and will be closed again next weekend.
The section concerned is between the Glen Darragh junction and the junction with the Ballagarey Road.
The closure runs until 6pm this Sunday and is then repeated next weekend between 6am on Saturday 13th and 6pm on Sunday 14th - or until the work is completed, whichever is sooner.
The closure is to allow for new drainage and roadworks to be put in place.
An alternative route is available via Glen Darragh Road, then Braaid and Cooil Roads.
Access to properties will be maintained both weekends.
