There's a unique opportunity this weekend to salute Ramsey's connection with the world's oldest sailing ship still sailing - across a 5,000 mile live link!
The Star of India, a full-rigged iron windjammer, was built in the northern town's shipyard in 1863.
Now restored, she's ported in San Diego, California, and is a major attraction at the city's maritime museum.
Tomorrow (Saturday) an internet Skype link will be set-up between Ramsey town hall and the ship, which will be afloat in San Diego bay.
Visitors are invited to join a video call to her crew and supporters and see the ship in full sail in San Diego Bay.
The unusual event's being hosted by Ramsey Commissioners to mark the Star of India's 150th anniversary year.
