Businesses in the Isle of Man which don't have strict policies on protecting confidential data are being urged to attend a conference in Douglas tomorrow (Thursday).
The breakfast event has been organised by Strand Group, which offers cleaning, security and other facilities to almost 200 Island firms.
The company recently won an ISO accreditation for standards in protecting its own data, and that of its clients.
Managing director John Hellowell says without strict security regimes, many companies could face losing crucial information.
He says firms with concerns would do well to attendĀ (play audio file):
The conference is at the Sefton Hotel in Douglas from 7.30am, and the number to ring for further information is 663913.
