User "horrified" by statements
A man who’s been helped by both DASH and Motiv8 says an MHK’s claims over confidentiality could put people off seeking help for addiction.
North Douglas MHK John Houghton said he’s worried Motiv8 isn’t as confidential as DASH, which is due to close down in November.
But this man – whose voice has been altered to protect his identity – has been to both services during his own battle with alcohol.
He says Mr Houghton’s statements are wide of the mark:
