Situation to be reviewed again tomorrow
A number of road closures across the Island have been extended until midday tomorrow (Tuesday 14 March).
These include the Mountain Road, the Tholt Y Will Road (from Sulby Claddagh to the Mountain) and West Baldwin Road (from Injebreck to Beinn Y Phott)
The Department of Infrastructure says it still has teams dealing with fallen trees and staff are out ploughing and gritting the Mountain Road in an effort to get it open.
If circumstances allow the roads may be opened earlier than the end of the closure period.
However, this is weather dependent and it should be noted that further snow on high ground is possible tonight.
