Windy and wet night ahead of Christmas break
A windy night ahead as we approach the Christmas holidays.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway have issued a severe gale warning for later this evening and into the early hours of tomorrow morning.
That could lead to the risk of some travel disruption and minor damage.
High tides are at 9.50pm and 10.20am on Christmas Eve - there's an amber warning of large waves breaking over on to promenades and roads in Ramsey, Laxey, Douglas, Castletown, Carrick Bay, Port St. Mary and Peel.
There's also an Island-wide amber warning for localised flooding overnight from a band of heavy rain from midnight which will last for about five hours.
Rainfall amounts will be between 5-10mm quite widely but with up to 15mm possible over the hills - it will fall onto already saturated ground.
