Sex education curriculum to be reintroduced

Teaching to resume after Easter before full rollout later this year

The Isle of Man's Relationships and Sex Education curriculum will be reintroduced across all Island schools by September 2024.

Education Minister Daphne Caine confirmed in Tynwald this morning that the teaching of the subject will resume for some year groups after the Easter holidays, before a full rollout in the next academic year.

The reintroduction is coming a year late though, after the Department of Education, Sport and Culture promised the lessons would be back by September last year, and then delayed the roll out again until 'early 2024'.

Parents will have access to the course material in advance, as Minister Daphne Caine explains:
