Interactive exhibition opens at Sea Terminal

An interactive exhibition has been installed at the Sea Terminal and will run until 24 September inviting the public to share their views on the Isle of Man’s ongoing Strategic Plan review.

The Strategic Plan is the overarching framework that guides sustainable development across the Island.

It sets the direction for land use, ensuring growth is well-located, well-designed, and environmentally responsible.

Its policies impact planning decisions and in shaping more detailed ‘area plans’.

The plan also supports the wider ambitions of the Island Plan including sustainable housing, urban regeneration, climate resilience and inclusive infrastructure.

The exhibition is designed to make public engagement simple and welcoming with posters, post-its, stickers and a suggestion box to capture feedback in a relaxed way.

Copies of the Community Guide will also be available for people to take home with details on how to explore the full consultation online.

Minister for the Cabinet Office David Ashford MHK, says: The Strategic Plan plays a vital role in delivering the ambitions of the Island Plan.

"It provides a clear framework for sustainable development, helping to shape communities that are well-connected, resilient and inclusive.

"Through this review, we are inviting the public to help guide how the Island grows and adapts over the coming years.”
