Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement issues statement
A ship management firm's base in Douglas is set to close at the loss of 27 jobs.
In a statement to Manx Radio, Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement confirmed it will be closing its Ship Management Centre in Dorchester House on Belmont Hill.
The company says it 'deeply values the trust and support they have received from the community in the Isle of Man over the years.
It adds, however, that 'difficulties in the local market have resulted in the need to consider alternative solutions in order to ensure optimal service delivery to clients.'
It says it is committed to providing support and resources to affected employees.
