'Significant' bed pressures caused by 52 admissions

Noble's Hospital now operating at OPEL Level 2

Fifty two patients were admitted to Noble's Hospital over the course of last weekend.

Manx Care has revealed that put 'significant' bed pressures on Monday and Tuesday - and is why people were asked to stay away from the emergency department unless absolutely neccessary.

The hospital is now operating at OPEL Level 2 which is close to 'business as usual' arrangements.

Chief executive Teresa Cope says they're still urging the public to think about if they can get help from alternative services:
