The family of Sir Norman Wisdom, who is currently in a Manx nursing home, has rejected claims being made in the UK press on Sunday.
These concern the events that have led to him being placed in the home.
The allegations appear in the "Mail on Sunday" newspaper.
They say the intense interest of the press has prompted the family and the nursing home to issue a statement.
