Six dead and six injured in Manx2.com plane crash

Six people have been killed and six injured, after a Manx2.com plane carrying 10 passengers and two crew crashed in the Republic of Ireland this morning.

It was travelling from Belfast to Cork and was attempting to land for a third time in foggy conditions when it came down just before 10am.

The flight number was MN7100.

Of the injured passengers - who are being treated in Cork University Hospital - four are described as being in a serious condition, while the other two are understood to have walked away from the crash with minor injuries.

Manx2.com has announced an emergency telephone number for concerned families of those who may have been on the flight.
