Court approves pension motion without amendments
Tynwald's support for the report of the Public Sector Pensions Committee means that sixty million pounds of legacy debt has been dumped on to the tax payer.
That's the belief of Michael MHK Alf Cannan.
Mr Cannan was one of those who tabled an amendment to John Shimmin's motion - however all amendments failed to find the backing of the court.
He says the next government will now have to deal with the consequences.
The court approved the original motion as tabled with 18 votes for and four against in the Keys and 8 for, 1 against in Legislative Council.
