Social distancing to continue until 23 April at least

Borders to remain closed for at least another month

Measures to maintain social distancing will remain in place until at least Thursday, 23 April, while the Island's borders will remain closed for at least another month.

The message was delivered by the health and social care minister at a virtual sitting of Tynwald this afternoon.

David Ashford was speaking on behalf of Chief Minister Howard Quayle, who’s been self-isolating with mild symptoms of Covid-19.

Members are currently being asked to approve the introduction and continuation of a number of regulations, brought in under emergency powers, to deal with the ongoing health crisis.
