A soldier who went absent without leave from his barracks for nearly a month has been remanded in custody by the deputy high bailiff.
The court heard Robert Walton, of Ballakermeen Close in Douglas, was waiting for a military escort to take him back to the United Kingdom.
He admitted the charge of being AWOL, after being away from his barracks since November 12.
Walton was arrested at his home on Monday.
