Enterprise minister reacts to concerns raised at LVA meeting
Any solutions put forward by government to help the Island's struggling hospitality sector have to be 'sustainable, fair, and affordable'.
That's from Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston who was at yesterday's meeting with the Licensed Victuallers Association.
There have been calls for an overhaul of VAT, with some representatives saying they fear they won't be able to carry on in business much longer.
Mr Johnston, speaking live on Manx Radio this morning (30 April) says there are multiple issues to consider:
Government says it is listening and recognises the industry is asking for it to act quickly to address and consider solutions.
Minister Johnston says they will be meeting with the LVA again before the end of May.
