Yellow weather warning issued for later today
There are doubts about this evening's Ben-my-Chree sailing to Heysham and its overnight return, as well as tomorrow morning's and its scheduled return in the afternoon.
The Steam Packet says a decision on the 7.45pm sailing will be made by 5.30pm.
A decision on Saturday's 8.45am one will be made by 7am.
Meanwhile, Ronaldsway Met office has issued a yellow weather warning for later on and into the weekend.
Winds will reach gale force eight from tonight and could touch severe gale nine tomorrow morning.
There's also the possibility of coastal overtopping in the south east of the Island during the high tides at around 11.30pm today and 11.30am tomorrow.
