
Jurby mother Pam Walkom is urging people to learn the basics of first aid, after her 14 year-old son saved her life when she suffered a severe asthma attack last week.
Paul, who is autistic, called the paramedics before giving his mum cardiopulmonary resuscitation treatment.
The Walkom family joined a first aid course with the St John Ambulance three months ago, and Pam says in her case it has proved to be life-saving.
She doesn't remember much of what happened, but is very proud of her son:
