South African expat? Your taxes are changing

Free seminars help explain implications

South African expats living on the Isle of Man will be taxed on their worldwide income from the end of this financial year, and must take measures to get their affairs in order, or face penalties.

That's the view of Tax Smart Solutions, a firm which is holding three free seminars this week to help equip those affected with independent advice.

Stuart James from Cape Town will be hosting the seminars, which seek to inform expats why they might still be deemed a South African tax resident, what the repercussions are of new legislation and what actions those affected may need to take.

He told Dollin Mercer more:

The first two of those sessions are scheduled to take place tomorrow night - Tuesday 11 June - from 6pm and from 8pm at the Comis Hotel and Golf Resort.

The third seminar will be held on Wednesday, 12 June, from 12:30pm at the Seven Kingdom Distillery in Douglas.
