Organisers to consult with ACU and Isle of Man Government

The Southern 100 Club is conducting a thorough review ahead of this year's event over the inclusion of the sidecars.

It follows the decision by the Isle of Man TT to suspend the class for the remainder of this year's TT.

The Southern 100 Club said in a statement that it's aware of the ongoing discussions and speculation regarding the inclusion of the class at next month's Southern 100.

As sidecar regulations for the Southern 100 align with the TT, organisers will be consulting with representatives from the Auto-Cycle Union and Isle of Man Government to evaluate the available options.

This will include assessing whether modifications can be brought in, or if further action is required.

It states the safety of competitors, spectators, marshals and officials remains the absolute priority, and a definitive update will be issued in due course.
