The bird was found in the front grille of a Range Rover
A wildlife charity on the Island has made quite the rescue.
Manx Wild Bird Aid was called out to a driver who found a sparrowhawk in the front grille of her Range Rover after travelling through Santon.
Two volunteers were at the address within half an hour and the bird was transferred to their vets soon after.
The juvenile male had sustained some injuries as a result of the collision, but luckily an x-ray showed no broken bones.
He has now recovered and has been successfully released.
