Athletes coming back with 22 medals
The Isle of Man Special Olympics team will arrive back at Ronaldsway on Tuesday morning to a heroes' welcome.
They’re due to fly in from Manchester after a successful World Summer Games in Los Angeles.
The Manx sent its largest ever team to compete in the event, which featured around 7,000 competitors from 165 countries.
Team Isle of Man returns home with an impressive haul – a medal tally of 22 - three gold, eight silver and 11 bronze.
Island athletes took part in eights sports, including football, swimming and cycling.
Among the stand-out performances, gymnast Paul Clucas who claimed a gold, two silvers and a bronze, fellow gymnast and bocce player Nicola Wooldridge and the men’s football team which defeated Slovenia to take the gold.
