Message from the Prince of Wales also read out
The Queen's birthday was marked by a number of events and gestures around the Island on Thursday.
One was the lighting of a beacon at St John's, an action repeated throughout the UK, Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories.
Ahead of the beacon's lighting, a message of congratulations from the Prince of Wales was read out on his behalf by Captain of the Parish of German Allen Corlett.
A small crowd of around 40 people gathered to watch.
