Scoill Vallajeelt move won't compromise religious input
St Thomas's will carry on as a Christian school if plans to move it to Scoill Vallajeelt in Saddlestone go ahead.
The idea, unveiled by the Department of Education and Children yesterday (Wed) - would see both schools occupy a campus-style site; so called 'co-location'.
St Thomas's building on Finch Road dates back to 1875 - but it's no longer seen as fit-for-purpose.
It's the Island's only C-of-E school, alongside King William's College and the Buchan, and has provided Christian education to pupils for over 140 years.
It's something Diocese spokesman Reverend, John Coldwell, says wouldn't change:
