Stand-up comedy and news-reading will get stage time at this year's Manx Music Speech and Dance festival.

The 127th instalment of the Guild includes a range of new classes.

Adult Group Dance, Singing Duets for years three to six, news-reading and adult stand-up comedy are all newcomers to the event.

Festival secretary Jacqueline Yates, says they're always looking to keeop the long-established event fresh and current: (play audio)

The Guild takes place from 27 April until 4 May.

Entries can be completed in paper form or online at www.manxmusicfestival.org

Closing dates for entries is 9 February.
