Drug the topic of public meeting tonight
Curse or Cure? - that's the title of the first Positive Action Group meeting of the new season tonight (Monday).
The issue of the use of statins as a cholesterol-lowering drug will be be debated by Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson and former Healthcare Innovation Consultant to the Manx government, Courtenay Heading.
Dr Allinson will advocate the continued use of statins - Mr Heading will question the accepted view that high cholesterol in itself is a health concern.
He says the regular use of statins does have well documented side affects on mind, mood and muscle.
The PAG meeting starts at 7.30pm at the Manx Museum in Douglas.
