The Steam Packet Company says it’s chartering an extra vessel to help keep sailings on track after the Manannan’s engines were damaged last week.
The fastcraft sucked fishing gear into her engine, which, combined with fog and mist, has caused travel chaos over the Easter weekend.
Now, the Steam Packet says it’ll bring in the P&O Express to help cover the Belfast route – although for operational reasons the new ship will sail from Larne.
Chief Executive Mark Woodward says work to repair the Manannan is going well, and the MV Arrow has been brought in to cope with freight deliveries to and from the Island.
There's further disruption to tomorrow's sailings: you can find out more at steam-packet.com.
