Severe gales in lead up to Christmas
Christmas sailings to and from the Isle of Man could be disrupted by Storm Barbara.
Severe gales are expected on Friday and into Christmas Eve.
The Steam Packet says passengers booked on sailings on the 23rd and 24th should consider transferring to an earlier service, although all the services are busy in the run up to Christmas.
To provide more passenger vehicle space on the Ben-my-Chree the company has arranged for the MV Arrow to cover freight services on the 21st and 22nd.
This increased space will apply on the 7.45pm sailing this evening (Wed 21st), the 2.15am and 7.45pm sailings tomorrow (22nd) and 2.15am sailing on Friday (23rd)
Passengers booked on sailings which are likely to be disrupted should contact the call centre on 01624 661 661. Online account holders can change their bookings via the website steam-packet.com
There will be no charge for amendments.
