Steve Hislop inquiry next month

The inquiry into the death of TT star Steve Hislop could start next month.

A six-day hearing had been due to begin in December but was delayed to allow all parties more time to prepare.

It’s reported a preliminary hearing will now be held at Edinburgh Sheriff's Court on April 8th with the full investigation set to start on April the 28th.

The 11-times TT winner and British Superbike champion, a former Island resident, died in a helicopter crash near Hawick in the Scottish border in 2003.

An official report concluded the accident was caused by the main rotor blades striking the helicopter tail boom - but aircraft malfunction has not been ruled out.
