Issues were first identified back in November 2023
Government still can't provide a timeframe for fixing the tiles in the NSC swimming pool.
Education, Sport and Culture Minister Daphne Caine was quizzed on the issue again in Tynwald yesterday (21 July).
The damaged tiles, which were first identified in November 2023, have led to two lanes of the main competition pool at the facility being closed.
Responding to questions from her political colleagues Mrs Caine said her department could not give any indication when the issues would be fixed.
She also was unable to give a yes or no answer when asked by Rob Callister if rumours of a long closure, of up to eight months, will be needed for the pool ahead of the 2029 International Island Games:
