All sailings cancelled and a number of flights delayed

UPDATED AT 07:10 SATURDAY 4 OCTOBER

Storm Amy continues to bring gale to severe gale force winds to the Isle of Man today (4 October).

Gusts of up to 60mph are expected this morning.

A Yellow Weather Warning was due to be in place until 6pm but has now been brought forward to 12pm.

All of today's Steam Packet sailings have been cancelled, while, after the majority of flights were cancelled at the airport yesterday, this morning both the easyJet and LoganAir flights to Manchester face delays, as do the incoming and outgoing LoganAir services to and from Liverpool.

Most of the roads that were closed yesterday have now been cleared, with the exception of a short section of the West Baldwin Road where a Manx Telecom line is unsafe.

Teams will assess the damage in the daylight but it's expected to be closed until midday.
