Polls new e-voting website for Island

An MHK's motion to Tywnald is being put to the public vote online - before next week's sitting of parliament.

Kate Beecroft is asking the court to support a call for the Manx political system to be made compulsory in schools from age 14. 

The suggestion comes from the Lib Van leader's intern local student Patrick Vernon.

He's posted the motion on a new website democracy.im and is gathering both comments and votes, for and against.

The pair are hoping Tynwald members take the views of residents into account during the debate and formal vote.
