Youth4Syria wants government to rethink refugee policy
A student campaign to grant displaced Syrians refuge on the Island has been met with a backlash from some locals.
Youth4Syria has launched a petition that will be handed in to Tynwald next week.
It hopes government will set up a committee to look at the practicalities of welcoming 25 Syrians affected by conflict in the Middle East.
The notion has been previously brought up in Tynwald, but failed to pass by one vote, with politicians choosing to donate close to £1 million in financial aid instead.
