Emergency services are investigating after a 50-year-old man was found dead at a house in Patrick yesterday (Wednesday).
The alarm was raised by a neighbour who saw smoke coming from the property and the man was found on the kitchen floor, having suffered a suspected heart attack.
Efforts were made to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The property was smoke-logged when the officers went inside, but it's thought the man died of natural causes rather than smoke inhalation.
Foul play is not suspected, and the coroner of inquests has been informed.
