Summer music series returns to Villa Marina Arcade

Free concerts set to feature brass bands and Wurlitzer performances throughout the summer

The Isle of Man Arts Council has announced the return of its “Summer Season of Music” as part of the Arts in the Arcade initiative at the Villa Marina Arcade.

The programme will run across June, July and August, with performances from local brass bands taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Sunday afternoons.

Lunchtime concerts featuring the Mighty Wurlitzer organ will also be held every Wednesday at 1pm, with both local and visiting organists taking part.

More than 2,000 people attended the concerts last year, and organisers say they are hoping to attract even larger audiences this summer.

The series, which began in 1995 before moving to the Villa Marina Arcade in 2009, will once again be free for the public to attend.
