Trio went to a shop instead of isolating upon arrival
Three key workers from Swansea, who failed to self-isolate when they came to the Island, have been given suspended sentences and fines.
Sixty-one-year-old Peter Ian James, 55-year-old Robert Lloyd Ferguson and David Wynn Lewis, who's 51, were each sentenced to 14 days in prison, suspended for a year, and fined £625.
The trio had come to work for Ellan Vannin Fuels - one as a health and safety person, two described as fitters.
They arrived on the Ben-my-Chree yesterday at 6pm.
Instead of going straight to the Empress Hotel in Douglas, where they were staying, they stopped at a shop on Central Promenade to buy alcohol, wearing masks.
A statement from police says their actions were reported to the police by concerned members of the public.
