
There is cause for optimism the Isle of Man's red meat derogation will be extended.
The agreement, which protects the Island from foreign imports, is due to end later this year, and Manx farmers are worried that cheaper meat could then be brought in from European competitors.
However, president of the Manx National Farmers Union Howard Quayle says he and outgoing Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne are hopeful the arrangement will continue:
