Tax, ME, energy efficiency and Xmas parking all in Keys

House sits once again on Tuesday

Ministers will field a mixed bag of questions in the House of Keys on Tuesday.

Topics range from tax relief for returning students, to ME, to parking provision in Douglas for Christmas shoppers.

In total there are ten for oral answer and two for written reply.

Garff MHK Martyn Perkins will ask the health and social care minister what plans she has to improve the diagnosis and treatment of ME.

East Douglas MHK Clare Bettison wants to know if the education minister will refund tuition fees via a tax relief system for students coming back to the Isle of Man, if their qualifications are in areas with recognised skills shortages.

Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper will ask the policy and reform minister what financial assistance is available to people making energy efficiency improvements to their homes.

Onchan MHK Rob Callister has a query for the infrastructure minister about how much his department plans to charge for parking on the promenade walkway in the run-up to Christmas.

You can hear live coverage of House of Keys questions on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online at manxradio.com and via the smartphone apps.

Meanwhile, it's another week off for the Legislative Council, which has no business or questions to deal with.
