Cabbies 'have duty' to promote Island

Airport drivers agree promoting the Island is 'part of the job'

Promoting the Isle of Man is part of the job of a taxi driver, according to some members of the local trade. 

Cabbies have been giving their views on whether they have a role to play, speaking positively to customers about the Isle of Man.

The Department of Economic Development is investigating reports an airport-based driver bad-mouthed the Island to visitors, after a complaint was made to the Road Transport Licensing Committee.

Alex Wotton has been asking drivers at Ronaldsway if they think it's important the taxi trade does its bit to enhance the Island's reputation:
