19-year-old denies offence and will stand trial
A teenage motorist from Douglas will stand trial after being accused of injuring a passenger he was carrying in his car.
Corwyn Cannan, of Railway Terrace, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he denied causing serious bodily harm by driving without due care or consideration.
The 19-year-old allegedly lost control of his VW Golf on a bend on East Foxdale Road, on 20 July last year, which resulted in a 16-year-old breaking a bone in their spine.
A pre-trial review will take place on 25 April – he’s been bailed until that date.
