18-year-old enters 'no plea' during court appearance
A teenager from Castletown has appeared in court accused of possessing more than £5,000 of cannabis with the intention of supplying it to others.
Joshua Maxwell, of Malew Street, entered ‘no plea’ to the offence during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
The 18-year-old was allegedly caught with 257 grams of the Class B drug, at a property in Port Erin, on 4 August last year.
Committal proceedings – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – will take place on 16 July; he’s been bailed until that date.
Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 14 August Mr Maxwell's advocate indicated committal proceedings will be challenged. A hearing will take place on 18 September; bail continues.
Update: Mr Maxwell will next appear at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on 17 December.
