Teenagers can help police investigations

A new website is encouraging teenagers in the Isle of Man to anonymously report crime.

The Crimestoppers-style fearless.org is aimed at 11 to 17 year olds who may have information on criminal activity.

It will be officially launched on the Island early next month.

Crimestoppers Isle of Man board member Phil O'Shea says it may have to overcome some particular difficulties (play audio file):

The fearless.org website will be launched in the Isle of Man at the Strand shopping centre a week on Saturday, February 5, between 9am and 5.30pm.

Helping with the launch will be young people from Ballakermeen High School and Douglas Royal ladies' football club.

Fearless.org - which is already up and running - also gives information on crimes which might affect young people on the Island, including those relating to drugs and alcohol, cyber-crime, bullying, theft and vandalism.
