Temporary shortage of heating oil on the Island

Supplies affected until next shipment arrives

Supplies of heating oil to the Isle of Man have been affected by shortages in the UK.

Manx Petroleum says it's been forced to place temporary restrictions on the amount it delivers to customers until the next shipment arrives.

In a statement the company says it hopes supplies will return to normal later this month.

Manx Radio understands the problem affects both major providers on the Island with both Manx Petroleum and EVF restricting the quantities they deliver to customers.

Manx Petroleum has given an assurance to customers that any reduced quantity deliveries will be charged at the same tariff as their original order.

Furthermore when a smaller quantity is delivered their computer system has been calibrated to ensure completion of the delivery when the next shipment arrives.
